Andrea Stone: Curator of Connection

𝐈 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐄. I genuinely like people. I like finding out what someone does when they’re excited about something. Obscure hobbies, strange opinions, terrible jokes, unexpected intelligence, nervous first meetings, and conversations that somehow end up somewhere completely different from where they started. Before we go any further— I’m Andrea. I have dark hair, a curious mind, a soft spot for interesting humans, and a tendency to ask follow-up questions. I’m also considerably less serious than my photographs suggest. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈’𝐦 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞: 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮. Not the version you think you’re supposed to bring. Not your résumé. Not how impressive you can be. You. Maybe you’re confident and completely at ease. Maybe you sit down and admit, “I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.” Both are charming. I’m fascinated by what happens when two people who normally wouldn’t know one another decide to spend a little time together. There’s no history to maintain. We get to start at zero and see what happens. Maybe we laugh immediately. Maybe you tell me something I’ve never heard before. Maybe there’s that unmistakable little spark of attraction. Maybe somewhere along the way we realize we’ve stopped being strangers. That part never gets old for me. My life outside of Andrea is wonderfully ordinary. I walk my dog. I read. I sketch. I love museums, psychology, being near the water, dancing around my kitchen, and an unreasonable amount of true crime. I have favorite places and absolutely order the same thing more often than someone who claims to love novelty probably should. Because I’ve realized something: I don’t necessarily need the place to be new. I need the person to be. You are the part I haven’t experienced yet. I’m affectionate, attentive, playful, feminine, and naturally curious. I notice things. I remember things. And there’s usually a mischievous streak hiding underneath all that Midwestern sweetness. You can be funny. Quiet. Nerdy. Awkward. Intellectual. Shy. Unconventional. Or impossible to categorize. 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚, 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒛𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆. I’m not expecting perfection.
