Uber drivers, people on airplanes, the woman standing next to me in line at Trader Joe's. It happens often enough that I've stopped questioning it. The childhood stories. The ambitions. The unexpected detours. The things people don't usually share with everyone else. I find those conversations far more interesting than the usual pleasantries. I rarely skip dessert if the menu looks promising, and my favorite people are the ones who have no idea they're funny. The ones who say something completely ordinary and somehow have everyone gasping for air. If you've read this far, I have a feeling we might get along. Everything else is better discussed across a table than across a screen.
